Jan Espérer

Jan Espérer studied composition for film and media in Bonn for 2 years at the „Musicube Academy“,

After his graduation in 2012 he began his studies at the ArtEZ conservatory in Arnhem, the netherlands.

He graduated very successfully with a bachelor of music (composition for film and theatre) degree in 2016.

The same year he did an internship with the sampling company „cinematique instruments“

where he learned to create digitized instruments.

He was very involved in the process of the creation of a couple of popular digitized instruments

among others „ensemblia percussion“, „TheMandolin“, „Marble“.

His internship inspired him to write his bachelors thesis about the digitization of musical instruments

and the consequential influence on contemporary music.

He is very intrigued by that subject and all of its possibilities and is currently working on own digitized instruments.

 Jan was nominated 3 times, at the „soundtrack cologne“ congress of film music,

for best re-score and sound design of a short animation movie.

His musical skills reach from composing, orchestrating, producing, sampling, recording, to  kontakt-scripting.

He has written music for among others;

„Matangi String Quartet“,

„Het Ereprijs Orkest“

and musicians of „het Gelders Orkest“.

He also wrote a piece for the „composing for harp“ workshop which took place in March 2016 in Zwolle.

Among others, he worked together with film students of the „LMU Los Angeles“,

film students of the „University of Applied Science Aachen“,

students of the University of Edinburgh (Edinburgh College of Art),

theatre students of „ArtEZ Arnhem“,

fashion students of „ArtEZ Arnhem“ and

fashion students of „ESMOD Berlin“.

In 2015 he produced the music for the fashion lable Steinröhner and

their exhibition at the „Berlin Fashion Week 2015“.

In october 2016 he composed the music for the award winning collection

„Illusive Mind“ of fashion Designer Sandra Zomer and her show in Beijing.
